Willis Towers Watson has made two key appointments for its Asian operations, with Patricia Pang and Kirk Lee being named as the company’s newest executive directors in the financial solutions divisions.
Pang will also take the role of credit insurance product leader for North Asia. Based in Hong Kong, she will be in charge of the company’s credit, receivable finance, and supply chain finance operations in the region.
She joins from Euler Hermes, where she was Hong Kong business development manager for five years. Prior to this, she had a six-year stint at the Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in international business studies from City University of Hong Kong and a Master’s degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, Lee will assume the post of regional financial institutions product leader. He will be based in Singapore and focus on trade credit.
Lee is a former member of the transaction banking, liability, and risk weighted assets management team at Standard Chartered Bank. He also was a credit and political risk insurance broker for Gallagher’s and HSBC Insurance Brokers, as well as an underwriter for Euler Hermes and QBE.
Stuart Ashworth, managing director, financial solutions, Asia Pacific, at Willis Towers Watson said: “These are new positions that reflect our ongoing commitment to this high-growth region. Global growth worries and a rising US dollar are likely to put pressure on corporates and supply chains in Asia Pacific, and we believe our clients will benefit from enhanced, on-the-ground, credit risk expertise.”
