International broker Aon makes global cyber hires

International broker Aon makes global cyber hires Aon Benfield, a global provider of risk consulting, has appointed Luke Foord-Kelcey as co-head of its Global Cyber Practice Group. The appointment is in line with the firm’s thrust to boost its cyber risk management and transfer capacities.
 
Foord-Kelcey will be based in London as he co-heads the cyber risks division, a fast-growing line of business with global exposures. He will work alongside co-head Bill Henriques who was one of the founders of the division. Henriques has been in the cyber re/insurance field for 16 years.
 
Previously, Foord-Kelcey worked for insurance manager Tindall Riley, which involved the launch of Athena, which provides cyber and data privacy insurance and incident response management for service providers. He has also worked as JLT Specialty’s head of communications, technology and media practice, as well as a solicitor at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert.
 
Human risk modelling expert Mark Lynch will also be joining the cyber practice group with an internal move from the impact forecasting team. He will provide expertise in non-catastrophe risk analysis including terrorism, rioting and drug cartel violence. Lynch obtained a master’s degree in international security studies from the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence. He previously worked at the Royal United Services Institute’s National Security and Resilience Department formulating counter-terrorism strategy.
